Learn how the padded weapons used in Amtgard are made! In this hands-on workshop, Blim Blam and Mic will guide participants through the parts, safety principles, and construction of a basic Amtgard foam sword. All materials are provided and no previous crafting or Amtgard experience is required. Participants will leave with the sword they build. Finished equipment should receive a normal Amtgard safety inspection before being used in combat.
Learn the fundamentals of Amtgard foam combat! Academy instructors teach safe contact, legal target areas, wounds, hit calling, basic field conduct, and beginner fighting through hands-on drills and supervised combat. No experience required; loaner equipment provided.
