“Heard it's open, now...a lost vault of the old mages’ circle. Or maybe 'was religious? Dunno, but either way's gotta be some good pickins since I couldn't get in.” - Caupo the Quick, retired explorer.

- 5 days afloat, downriver: -

“Nirtu and her crew went up 3 days ago. Not seen hide nor tail since. And there's things out at night now, leave scars like burns or melting on the cattle.” - Ilo Paimis, innkeeper.

- 4 hours up sandy beaches: -

A cool breeze from behind, off the sea, as it begins to drizzle. An old stone seal carved with stylized waves and pushed ajar from within, just above the damp sand of the beach. Footprints - booted, clawed - lead in and out. Darkness and the smell of salt and rot within.

This will take the form of an old-school exploration/dungeon crawl in an ancient flooded vault complex. The system will be "Delving Deeper"(a rewrite of original DnD), a relatively light system that should be familiar to anyone with DnD experience. Will likely include some cursing and horror elements, especially water/drowning. Players of all experiences are welcome!

The Slow Knife is inspired by stories like The Count of Monte Cristo, where a simple death is too good for all those years the villains took from their victim.
You'll establish a promising young soul whose life is ruined by a handful of grasping scoundrels, then you'll tell the decades-long story of the victim's overdue and inevitable vengeance. You'll tell this story from the perspective of the villains, with the protagonist - The Knife - moving in the shadows or behind disguises.

- 5 days east, over muddy floodplain: -

“Trouble down by Sang-la. Somethin' stealin' livestock, people. Worried to Ligao about a spirit returnin'...mentioned a ruin on an island, since you ask." - Hiraya the Blue, merchant.

- 2 weeks south, along the coast: -

Timog Peninsula. Verdant jungles and fetid marshes, the lonely port of Sang-La in their midst. Mountains, jagged and alive, over the wall to the south. Whispers and turned heads speaking of death, politics, spirits. Underfoot: cockroaches everywhere. "Mishuk." The people pray for his return, a shield against the ever-present vermin. And for the missing animals and people.

This will take the form of an exploration/hex crawl of a tropical wilderness in a world of medieval fantasy using elements of "A Thousand Thousand Islands." The system will be a modification of "Cairn 1e"(based off "Into the Odd"), a rules light d20 roll-under system. Will likely include some cursing and horror elements, especially bugs and claustrophobia. Players of all experiences are welcome!
